Agriculture ITO (Industry Training Organisation)

Organises earn-as-you learn training courses for farm employees in the New Zealand agricultural industry. Funded by Government and industry, it coordinates and delivers high quality training and education at a regional level. All training courses are nationally recognised and registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Course include anything from shearing and wool handling to fencing and artificial insemination as well as Agribusiness Management Certificates.

A Private Training Establishments (PTE) that delivers a wide range of Agricultural and Horticultural Training throughout New Zealand. It is part of Agriculture New Zealand Ltd, a subsidiary of Wrightson Ltd. It trains over 3000 learners from 16 permanent locations from Kumeu to Invercargill.

Courses include full-time programmes and short courses, which can build towards a National Qualification; pre-employment training in agriculture and horticulture; industry training programmes for farm and orchard workers; and programmes for lifestyle block owners.
