The Clutha District Chamber of Commerce actively encourages membership of all sectors of the business community (including farming) of the Clutha District.
Mission Statement
The Clutha District Chamber of Commerce shall foster and stimulate the business environment of the Clutha District.Goals
1. Co-Ordination
To be the active catalyst in focusing the numerous interest groups toward the collective economic benefit of the District.2. Advocacy

- Discounts on an increasing number of business services, e.g., national and international toll calls, medical insurance.

Promotion and Education
CDCC will effectively assist members who request seminars and training courses on a wide variety of topics -

CDCC, in conjunction with local organisations, will actively promote the Clutha District through regular activities.

What is Business Grow/Farm Fact?
Business Grow/Farm Fact is a free and confidential referral service available to all businesses including farming. This service's aim is to encourage business development and employment opportunities by assisting businesses to operate more effectively and become stronger and grow.Aims and Objectives
To increase the range and quality of business skills of Clutha District businesses and farmers.
To increase Clutha District businesspersons and farms awareness of the range of support agencies and organisations available to them.
To increase employment opportunities within the Clutha District.
To increase profitability of Clutha District businesses and farms.
To identify specific needs for business skills training, workshops and seminars within the District.
To establish a basis of regular communication with all businesses in the Clutha District.
To encourage joint ventures with other organisations in the running of seminars.
To work with the Clutha Agricultural Devlopment Board to provide ongoing support to the agricultural sector.
How The Programme Runs
The goal of the programme is to optimize the utilization of the support available to businesses and farmers.Business Grow:
The Business Grow programme employs a client manager. The role of the client manager is to work with businesses and help identify problem / opportunities areas, refer the business to appropriate assistance from other specialized business agencies / providers and then to re-contact the business to ensure a satisfactory outcome.The service is based on referral. Each business visited will be provided with an ongoing contact point with the service. It is part of the job of the client manager to assist each business follow up any requirements for future assistance with the appropriate business support agencies, etc.
Farm Fact:
The Farm Fact service is designed to provide the Business Grow referral service to the farming community. It will be targeted towards the Clutha Agricultural Development Board (CADB) members via newsletters, as well as promotion at special field days. Initial inquiries for the Farm Fact service are directed to the Business Grow client manager and if appropriate, farming inquiries may then be referred to the CADB. The 0800 number will continue to be available.Seminars:
This service will also provide the opportunities to co-ordinate seminars within the district when the need arises.

Clutha Women's Network Group
What Is The Womens's Network Group?
The Women's Network Group has been organising and holding functions now for nearly two years. It is run by a group of volunteers (four) who meet to plan functions that will be of interest to women.
It is not a membership organisation and those who are interested, go on a mailing list so that they will be automatically informed of future functions which are held every two months You can pick and choose which functions to attend during the year
There is a small charge on the night but thanks to the generous support of the Telford Rural Polytechnic and Clutha Print Ltd, this charge is kept to a minimum.
Our Functions
Functions that have been held to date include : Mary English, Rosie Burridge, Joan Hasler, Breast and Cervical Screening representatives, a Craft Expo, Dessert Evening, Brain Gym, and UNIFEM Luncheon with special guest Petra Mathais.Our next function will be held on Tuesday 4th May at Peggydale, Balclutha where our guest will be Sue Lindsay, Manager of CRT Southland and a Young Businesswomen of the Year.
