Welcome to this collection of resource intended for women in rural communities throughout New Zealand with a particular focus on the South Canterbury, Otago and Southland regions. The site is based on contributions from diverse people with an interest in rural issues. Each month we bring you new and topical resources. Have
your say on family issues – join The Couch www.thecouch.org.nz
You’re invited to join the Families Commission on The Couch to answer the latest poll about time with grandchildren. Your feedback would help shape the Commission’s upcoming research on grandparents. The results will help the Commission understand how they need to advocate for grandparents so that they are well-supported in balancing their grandparenting roles with other aspects of their lives (including paid work, voluntary, social and family activities).
If you signed up with The Couch you would receive polls on family issues every six to eight weeks. You would be sent the results once the polls have been analysed. Polls are shared with relevant government and community agencies, used to shape or add to Families Commission research, and, where appropriate, to back up the Commission’s advocacy on family issues. |
